Zilliqa (ZIL) has pulled off a remarkable rally, presumably triggered by the project’s partnership with prominent voice and video engagement application Agora.

In a press release on the 25th, Metapois, the Zilliqa-powered metaverse, announced the partnership and revealed plans to launch publicly on April 2.

According to the company, Metapolis is the world’s first “metaverse as a service” (MaaS) platform, which is built on the unreal engine, unity, and Nvidia Omniverse. Metapolis has gathered $2 million in pre-launch revenues from its clients and looks primed to engage multiple industries with its new partnership.

As Metapolis describes Agora:

“Essentially, Agora is a global talent awards app where individuals can upload their creations and participate in contests to win support, visibility and recognition in the international community. Users - amateur and professional photographers - submit photographs based on the hashtag for the week on the app. The app is also open to video, music and now, NFTs. It is the first digital democratic system that ensures that talent is not measured by the number of likes, the followers or an algorithm, but by the people's vote.”

On top of Metapolis’ partnership with giants of the creator economy, Zilliqa has also been tapped by three esports and gaming companies: Indonesian-based RRQ, Spain-based MAD Lions, and Sweden's Ninjas in Pyjamas.

"Being associated with the top, most-watched esports entities in the world is an honour. With millions of followers worldwide and a passionate fan culture, the creation of borderless gaming communities is inevitable. Thanks to AR and VR-powered technology, we've created possibilities for gamers, influencers and fans to engage, earn and entertain as crypto and gaming join forces," says Dr Ben Livshits, CEO, Zilliqa. "This is not just a strategy, but an exciting move for us. Why? Because it is a solid use case that clearly shows adoption is accelerating, and that blockchain is moving from the fringes of traditional finance to the centre of our lives."

Amid all the announcements, the price of ZIL pumped from around $0.047 to over $0.11. Zilliqa sits as the 77th ranked cryptocurrency, as per data on Coingecko.
