CoinMarketCap vs. CoinGecko: Which is BEST??
Hey Guys,
In the recent market downturn, I am sure that you have regularly been checking those prices.
Even when its not in extreme market volatility, I am sure you are regularly checking the markets.
Fun Fact: The average crypto holder checks crypto prices almost every hour?
I reckon that sounds about right, and it's why crypto tracking websites are some of the most frequented in the industry.
The two top dogs in this crypto niche are of course CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. In today's video, I compare them on 8 different metrics to see which one is better: founders, funding, numbers, features, ease of use, robustness, security, and regulation (yes, regulation).
I really don't want to say much here because what I found when doing deep dives into both was super interesting. For example, did you know that CoinMarketCap's founder is almost completely anonymous? Did you know CoinGecko has a venture arm?
These are things that I didn't know. What I'm familiar with the most is the user experience which really varies on both platforms. Although the metrics I used were arguably subjective, I use both so I don't have a dog in this fight. Using both is what I recommend regardless, FYI.
Even so, it's interesting to see how these two titans match up. I think the answer will surprise some of you. To be honest, part of me was surprised at the conclusion even though I put it together!
