Congress Insider Trading BAN!! Could It Be Coming?!
Hey Guys,
I'm sure you all know that US politicians have a knack for insider trading. That's why it's so surprising that a few of these very same politicians recently tabled a bill to ban senior public officials from investing and trading certain assets.
Not surprisingly, the bill appears to be particularly harsh to cryptocurrency and gives mainstream assets like ETFs and various types of government debt a pass. Politicians also get what amounts to a slap on the wrist for violating these rules.
The silver lining is that all violations by US politicians will be made public assuming the bill passes. It doesn't look like this will happen anytime soon, but it still begs so many questions about the motivations behind the bill.
