Filecoin Review 2020: Top Launch To Watch!

I wanted to bring your attention to a pretty important and long awaited mainnet launch that is slated for this week. It is the Filecoin launch which will go live at block 148,888 on the 15th of October.
For those of you who do not know what Filecoin is, they are a distributed data storage protocol that raised over $200m in an ICO that took place in 2017. I won't go into it here but if you want more info, you can watch a review I did at the beginning of the year:

It has been a long time coming for the launch as the developers have been beavering away at the code. There has been a great deal of interest in this project even during the testnet phase. For example, their "Space Race" testnet saw over 400 miners take part contributing more than 325+ pebibytes in storage.
Fun fact: that amount of storage space is enough for seven times the entire written works of mankind, in all languages
Anyways, it is looking to be an exciting launch. Not only will those FIL tokens finally hit the market in some search of price discovery but the filecoin team is going to be spending quite a bit of time promoting it. Talks, workshops, meetups. This is likely to only further increase interest in the project.
If you believe the relatively opaque FIL futures market, the price is expected to debut at c. $28. This would be a massive multiple on the ICO price which ranged from between $1-$6.
One of the first exchanges that it will be listed on is Okex but you can expect many others to immediately jump into the fold. Wouldn't think its unlikely that both Binance and Coinbase look to a listing pretty soon out of the gates.
So yeah, would suggest that you guys note the 15th in your calendar 😉
