Shiba Inu vs. Dogecoin: Which is BEST?? Compared!!
Hey Guys,
Today I answer the most important question floating around the crypto market: Shiba Inu, or Dogecoin, which is better?
To be clear, I don't hold either of them. This conveniently makes it easy for me to be more objective about which one comes out on top, and I assessed this using the same metrics I've used in other comparison videos.
Firstly, the founders: Dogecoin was founded by two chaps with fairly technical backgrounds. Shiba Inu, on the other hand, was founded by a mysterious man who goes by the pseudonym Ryoshi, and an even more mysterious "businessman" who coded the Shiba Inu smart contract and provided the initial liquidity.
Next, the technology: Dogecoin is a fork of Litecoin and DOGE can be mined alongside LTC at no additional cost. This is thanks to merged mining which makes it possible to mine two cryptocurrencies with the same consensus at no additional cost. Funny enough, Shiba Inu is about as fast as Dogecoin because it's built on Ethereum and which has a similar TPS to Dogecoin.
Then, the tokenomics: DOGE has a massive supply of more than 131 billion, but this pales in comparison to SHIB's 1 quadrillion. As you know, 40% of this supply was destroyed when Vitalik Buterin donated 80% of his 50% allocation earlier this year. Even so, there are still around 600 trillion SHIB in circulation, and this gives it a deceptively low price.
Now, the price potential: DOGE's price history reveals repetitive price manipulation that goes back as long as 2014 (this is easily see on DOGE's BTC trading pair). There's no concrete evidence that SHIB's price is being manipulated, but it looks like it has a bit less price potential than DOGE for the remainder of this bull market.
This is because of the final two factors: community and roadmap. Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have similarly sized communities, but they are very different to say the least. Dogecoin's community is a bit more calm and collected, whereas Shiba Inu's community tends to be extremely active and borderline crazy at times.
The community differences between both projects have profound implications on their roadmaps. Dogecoin doesn't have an official roadmap, but its development is being advised by some pretty big names. By contrast, Shiba Inu's roadmap is very ambitious, and the developers seem to be making some decent progress there.
It's a close call, and you'll have to watch until the end to find out which one I think is the winner for now.
You won't regret it, believe me! 🐶
