THORChain: RUNE To The Moon?! X-Chain DEX Update!!
Hey Guys,
As many of you will know by now, Thorchain is one of my favorite crypto projects. This is simply because it makes it possible to do the impossible: swap cryptocurrencies natively between chains without a centralised exchange.
It's been a few months since I covered the project, and I figured it was about time for an update, especially since Thorchain has some exciting milestones on the horizon. The most significant of these is its main net launch which is tentatively scheduled for July.
In preparation for main net, Thorchain has been in the process of adding new features to its protocol. Support for Dogecoin happened not long ago and synthetic assets just launched. Support for Terra will happen any minute now with 9 additional cryptos set for support.
Now, despite everything Thorchain has accomplished over the last few months, RUNE's price hasn't been looking that pretty, and I think this can be boiled down to its aggressive vesting schedule. The good news is that upcoming milestones will likely create lots of demand.
All in all, it looks like Thorchain is ready for an amazing year, but I do see a few concerning things on the horizon.
